Tailored funerals built around your wishes
Respectful care at every stage
Support whenever you need it
Allen & Son has been part of Moreton-in-Marsh for nearly a century, with three generations of the Allen family serving the community and providing funeral services with dignity and respect. Founded by the Allen family in 1928, the business is built on trust and commitment to the community. Having previously been employees, husband-and-wife team, Diane and James Drury took over ownership of the business in June 2022, ensuring its legacy of care continues. Living only a few minutes away from the premises, they are always close by to offer care and support to families, when needed.
Although Peter and Veronica Allen have retired, they have a great relationship with Diane and James. Peter is pleased to see Allen & Son run by a husband-and-wife team once again and continues to offer his help when requested. Diane and James bring years of experience in the funeral industry and a personal understanding of grief, ensuring every family receives the support and guidance they need.

Your kindness has meant the world to myself and my sister during this tremendously difficult time.

Dear Diane and James,
I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful funeral you arranged for my late father.
The respect and understanding you showed to us as a family was very much appreciated. The entire event was handled with a poise and elegance my father would have wholly approved of.
You allowed us to give my father exactly the goodbye we had hoped for and for that you have my heartfelt thanks.

Diane and James were absolutely wonderful at what was a very difficult time for us. The support they provided was sensitive and compassionate and delivered in a kind and caring manner while remaining professional and dignified. Everything was communicated and explained clearly and there was no pressure to make any decisions until we were ready to do so. Nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail was first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We just wanted to thank you very much for your wonderful help and support through these past four weeks or so. It has been a great comfort to have someone we could call on day or night when we suddenly found ourselves entering a whole new world not just of sadness and loss, but also of formalities, officialdom, documentation and, eventually the arrangement and participation in a Cremation Service, an interment and a Service of Remembrance.
You were even able to supply us with the name of a caterer for the after service tea, which went really well.
