About our company
Allen & Son has been part of Moreton-in-Marsh for nearly a century, with three generations of the Allen family serving the community and providing funeral services with dignity and respect. Founded by the Allen family in 1928, the business is built on trust and commitment to the community. Having previously been employees, in June 2022, Diane and James Drury took over ownership of the business, ensuring its legacy of care continues. Living only a few minutes away from the premises, they are always close by to offer care and support to families, when needed.
Though Peter and Veronica Allen have retired, they remain closely connected to the business. Peter is pleased to see Allen & Son run by a husband-and-wife team once again and continues to offer his help when requested. Diane and James bring years of experience in the funeral industry and a personal understanding of grief, ensuring every family receives the support and guidance they need.

An estimate of costs based on items and services selected is provided to the family, and our general price list is provided for easy reference. A funeral does not have to be an extravagant display, as there are coffins and caskets available at all cost levels to fit the needs of every familv. Pre-planning and pre-paying for your funeral can help control costs. By making decisions ahead of time, you avoid having to make choices at a time when your emotions are heightened.

Pre-paying for a funeral enables vou to set funds aside to cover the costs of the funeral arrangements. I highly recommend Allen & Sons. James and Di run a professional, independent but also extremely caring company, paying special attention to all the finer details. When my dad past away last year James & Di were the perfect pair in providing us with the compassionate care that we needed, you showed us endless amounts of empathy and compassion. James cared for my dad in the most dignified manner, he offered me & my mum genuine words of comfort. The support was endless, Di was in regular touch with us and along side Wendy my dad was given a funeral that was just perfect for him.
The support didn't end there, we are still in contact with them and there support is just endless and nothing is to much for them.
